About Me
I'm Simon Camarillo
I am a licensed professional counselor and In 2020 I launched Summit Counseling to provide counseling services to those in my community and beyond.
I use researched based therapeutic approaches combined with my experience working in mental health over the past 10 years to help people overcome their own struggles in life.
My specialties include addiction, trauma, anxiety/depression and Catholic counseling approaches.
The reason I named my practice Summit Counseling, comes both from my love of the mountains, and my approach with helping others. Getting sober, healing from trauma, or getting "unstuck" can seem like mountains to the people facing them. I like to see counseling as helping my clients navigate these mountains in order to reach their "peaks". Whether those peaks be making a big decision in life, or finding peace and healing within their life.

If you have questions about counseling or are unsure where to start. My consultation sessions provide a place where you can have your questions answered. If you decide to continue therapy with myself, or need recommendation to other services. This is a good place to start.
Individual Counseling
Acceptance and Change
A joint process between where we identify you goals and focus on your needs. In sessions I use evidence based practices to help you gain the tools you need to help with the stressors you are facing.
Catholic Counseling
Ora et labora
Pray and work. This underlines my approach in working with Catholics. As a fully practicing Catholic and Counselor, I use what I know from my training combined with the wealth of wisdom the Church offers us through the sacraments, scripture and teachings to help guide Catholics to better mental health.
